Oppo Facebook became just as toxic as literally every other Facebook car group, so the admins are trying to get back to their roots in an effort to flush said toxicity.

Their new mod comes from Manual Elitist Jerks, which may be a little weird  if they’re trying to rid toxicity, but that’s just me. They say MEJ is a “satire” group, but it seems to me nobody on MEJ seems to know what satire actually is. lol

Tim (505Turbeaux) is a great guy. If he’s at the helm, I’m not worried.

But would be better if it was clear that they were really 2 separate groups (with some inevitable crossover).

I believe there  were two FB. One official that mods would share stuff and another that anyone could post stuff. The unofficial got larger and was told by gamecat to rename oppotalk.

There’s a facebook group tangentially related to us that’s been called OppositeTalk. It’s just been renamed Oppositelock, perhaps in an effort to try to be official or something.

I don’t know. I stopped using facebook back in late 2015. I still have one and occasionally log on, but I don’t actively use it. Only reason I reactivated it in mid-2017 was so I could use the dating apps. Still can’t really stand the platform. 

Yeah, that’s true but it’s still better than facebook and dealing with the idiots on there.

I’m not a fan, and hate how much they track you , but lots of my family and friends are there, so it’d be hard to unplug...
